Being an AdVENTURE student may blow your mind, because it is interesting, educational, as well as fun most of the time. I have had a great experience here for the past two years, and plan to do so for the next two. I'd like to tell you all about it! AdVENTURE is a program where fifth through eighth grade children can work at their grade level, as well as have an experience of what middle school is like.
There are six class periods in AdVENTURE. They are listed as: PE, Social Studies, ELA, Engineering, Math, and finally, Science. AdVENTURE is a S.T.E.M. program, which focuses on science, technology, engineering, and math. In most of the classes, we experience educational websites, collaboration with other students, as well as independant working skills. We also have presentation nights, where we share our projects and what we have learned with our commumity.
AdVENTURE helps guide us to a bright future in education, and helps us whenever we need it. I really appreciate AdVENTURE's way of teaching, which adjusts to our skill level. The teachers do their best to give us the time needed for us to complete an assignment, and are generous enough to let us have extra time to complete work.
For exapmle, AdVENTURE teachers set up specific days for their students to stay after school and work until they are done or are given the time to study and improve on a subject they may have found challenging. The teachers probably would have something better to do, but they are kind enough to let us get the help, and tutoring we need to be successful in their class. The best part is that we get to work with computers almost every day in every class at AdVENTURE!!
